Acadia National Park
In the far reaches of Maine’s wilderness, there are hidden great bike trails that most bike enthusiasts have not yet discovered. Acadia National Park is a beautiful park, which is often famous for its scenery in the fall. The trees change in dramatic form into every color imaginable. If you want to take in all the beautiful views, one of the best ways to see this park is on your bike. There are two main ways to travel through the park on your bike. The first are the Carriage Roads that snake all around the park. There are fifty-seven miles of these roads, with intermittent stone bridges that the North East is famous for. You can find maps at the visitor center or the Park’s website. The trail is similar to gravel, so having strong mountain bike tires is important to prevent a flat tire. If you like riding with fewer people on the trial, these roads will give you a great experience. If you do not mind cars or other bikers, taking the Park Loop Road might be another option. This is the main park road that runs the length of the park, about twenty-seven miles. While you will be sharing the road with cars, it does not take away from the amount of beautiful scenery that you can experience. Do some research before you go, so that you can find all the magical spots that are out there so you do not miss out!
